Three teens arrested in fire at Ore. high school
May 12--WOODBURN -- The giant cloud of black smoke might have been visible from his house, but Dick Jennings refused to look out the window.
Jennings, a former mayor of Woodburn and volunteer firefighter for 20 years, knew what would happen if he saw the smoke billowing from Woodburn High School on Friday morning. He would rush to the scene.
But at 84, Jennings also knew his attempt to help would prove more a burden. So he stayed home, turned on the television in his den and watched video...
